About Us
Maroko & Shwe, Inc. was originally established by Michael C. Maroko as Michael C. Maroko & Associates
in 1961. The firm was incorporated as Maroko & Associates in 1977. James Shwe joined the firm in 1984 and
became the managing principal in 1996. The name of the firm was changed to Maroko & Shwe, Inc. in 1998 and Michael
C. Maroko retired in 1999. Maroko & Shwe, Inc. specializes in Institutional Projects.
The majority of our projects are educational or medical, though we occasionally enjoy working on commercial and
industrial projects. We have over 20 years experience with DSA and OSHPD. We do Title-24 energy
calculations, HVAC System Simulations and Life Cycle Analysis in house.
We offer Mechanical Engineering Services in the design and specification of heating, ventilating, air
conditioning and plumbing systems. We do not design fire protection systems but we provide performance
specifications for fire protection systems and review materials submittals.
Our office enjoys a high degree of customer satisfaction. Almost all our current clients are repeat clients.

We currently have a staff of ten that includes six engineers, three engineering assistants and one clerical.
We had no litigation in the last ten years.
